The Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) Operator role is onsite in Grand Rapids, MI. Compensation is $18–$19 per hour. Safari Circuits manufactures printed circuit board assemblies for the global electronics market, including medical, military, and defense fields. The operator sets up and runs automated surface-mount assembly equipment, supports component preparation and inspection, and maintains production records and quality standards to help manufacture compliant circuit board assemblies.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate automated SMT assembly equipment, including screen printers, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens
• perform basic soldering and component rework after required training
• pick components and prepare manufacturing kits
• visually inspect assemblies
• maintain job tracking records
• interpret IPC-A-610 standards and customer specifications
• keep the work area neat
• support coworkers and help train them.
