Registered Nurse Case Manager

What you'll do

• Review patient charts within 24–48 hours of admission for appropriateness, service intensity, and discharge needs
• communicate questionable cases to attending physicians and refer unresolved cases to the Physician Advisor
• conduct admission and continued-stay reviews with insurers
• obtain clinical information to support reimbursement and appeals
• participate in interdisciplinary discharge rounds
• coordinate care with ancillary departments and physicians
• keep the Director of Case Management informed.
