The Security Systems Training Lab Manager is an onsite position in Chantilly, VA. Compensation is $135,000–$180,000 per year. The role manages a hands-on training facility that supports electronic security systems instruction and provides a mission-ready learning environment. As the lab’s primary technical lead, the manager maintains operational readiness across security, networking, server, and training systems. The role enables instruction by preparing lab environments and resources, supporting instructors, and maintaining the technology and documentation needed for practical training.

What you'll do

• Manage daily lab operations, readiness, and maintenance. Maintain access control, intrusion detection, video management, networking, server, workstation, and integrated security platforms. Perform or coordinate maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and replacements
• administer software, systems, accounts, permissions, backups, and licenses. Maintain configurations, inventory, diagrams, records, and documentation. Prepare lab environments and exercises, manage schedules and resources, coordinate with vendors and customers, and support budgeting, procurement, and lifecycle planning.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent military training, certifications, or directly related experience; at least eight years of relevant technical experience; and at least three years managing a lab, training facility, technical team, or complex systems environment. Travel may be needed.
