Job overview

The MRI Technologist role is onsite in Bloomfield, CT. The schedule is Monday and Friday, 2:00–10:00 p.m.; Saturday, 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.; and Sunday, 9:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m. Compensation is not specified. The role supports imaging services at Radiology Associates of Hartford. The technologist performs MRI procedures and produces accurate diagnostic images while protecting patient safety, privacy, and comfort. The work contributes to patient care through protocol-based imaging and collaboration with radiologists, physicians, and the imaging team.

What you'll do

• Operate MRI equipment and perform imaging procedures
• select pulse-sequence factors based on patient and examination needs
• explain preparation and scanning procedures and verify relevant patient history
• prepare and position patients
• ensure accurate exam information
• follow equipment safety standards and protocols
• prepare contrast agents and administer them when ordered and certified
• maintain records, support quality control, and assist with training as needed.

Why this role

ARRT or ARMRIT certification and current BLS certification are required. Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI Technology program is required; at least one year of MRI experience is preferred. Travel to other office locations for staffing coverage may be needed.
