The Operator 3 is an onsite role based in Newport, RI. Compensation is not specified for this position, which supports the terminal operations team at Pangaea Logistics Solutions Ltd. This role exists to operate terminal equipment to safely and efficiently load and unload cargo from ships. The operator coordinates information flow between crew members and management while performing light-duty maintenance to ensure port systems availability.

What you'll do

• Operate conveying equipment, dust collectors, ship loaders, and rail car loaders.
• Operate heavy machinery such as skid steers or pay loaders.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Operate valves and blowers to move alumina.
• Monitor and record inventory levels.
• Report unusual equipment conditions.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repair of terminal equipment.
• Perform regular inspections and minor maintenance tasks.
• Comply with certification standards.
• Ensure safe equipment operating conditions.
