Accurate specimen handling, documentation, confidentiality, and compliance help support employees, patients, employers, and community partners; the role participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours and emergency testing.

What you'll do

  • Perform DOT and non-DOT urine drug screen collections and breath alcohol testing
  • collect blood specimens through venipuncture
  • label, process, store, and prepare specimens for transport
  • document testing and maintain records
  • verify identification and protect confidentiality
  • follow federal regulations and hospital policies
  • prepare collection areas and supplies
  • participate in an on-call rotation
  • assist with other Occupational Health services and administrative duties as assigned.
