The dermatologist evaluates and treats skin conditions, develops care plans, and monitors patient progress. The role supports the practice’s patient care by providing medical and cosmetic dermatology services, educating patients, and coordinating with other clinicians when needed.

What you'll do

• Evaluate patients through history, examination, symptom review, and testing
• examine skin for abnormalities or malignancies
• perform or request biopsies and other tests
• analyze results
• counsel patients on dermatological care and prevention
• develop treatment plans
• prescribe medications and therapies and monitor progress
• refer patients to the cosmetic team or Mohs surgeon as appropriate
• document records
• consult with surgeons
• conduct research to better serve patients.
