Solar Technician I

The Solar Technician I role is an onsite field-service position based in Greenville, NC, with approximately 90% of work time in the field; compensation is $22–$29 per hour. Carolina Solar Services provides renewable-energy system solutions and services solar power plants. The technician supports senior field staff in safe, timely solar-facility operations and maintenance by assisting with troubleshooting, repairs, commissioning, inspections, and preventive maintenance, while reporting field work to operations staff.

What you'll do

• Prioritize safety and participate in site safety meetings
• assist with troubleshooting and repairing utility-scale solar generators
• assist with commissioning, quality assurance inspections, and preventive maintenance
• submit field service reports
• provide customer service
• perform vegetation maintenance as required
• participate in weekend and holiday on-call rotation
• undertake occasional overtime and overnight travel as required.
