What you'll do

• Assign CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes for cardiothoracic and other specialty surgical services
• review operative reports, clinic notes, and supporting documentation
• apply modifiers, bundling rules, and NCCI edits
• follow CMS, AMA, and payer-specific billing guidelines
• identify documentation gaps and communicate clarification needs
• meet productivity and quality standards
• participate in internal quality reviews and audits as required.
