The Part-Time Tutor – Advanced Technology Center, Ghent Campus role is hybrid, with on-site and virtual tutoring in Ghent, WV. Compensation is $25.00 per hour, and work is flexible up to 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends. The tutor provides individualized and small-group academic support to help students understand course material, strengthen study skills, and become more independent learners. The role coordinates with the Tutoring Coordinator, faculty, and College personnel to monitor progress and maintain accurate service records.

What you'll do

• Provide individual and small-group tutoring
• help students review course materials, prepare for examinations, develop paper ideas, and solve academic problems. Assess learning needs and adapt tutoring strategies
• teach study, time-management, and organizational techniques
• monitor progress and provide constructive guidance
• conduct sessions virtually or onsite
• maintain availability for scheduled evening and weekend sessions
• use Brainfuse and approved technologies
• communicate with the Tutoring Coordinator
• submit session reports and maintain attendance, service, and progress records
• develop instructional materials
• participate in required training
• collaborate with faculty and Student Services personnel
• and protect student confidentiality.

Why this role
