Area Manager

Job overview

The Area Manager role is onsite across three market-rate apartment communities in the Triad and Charlotte markets, with regular travel between sites. The salary is $100,000–$130,000 per year. The role oversees a growing portfolio, with two additional properties planned to come in-house over the next 6–12 months. The manager takes operational ownership of the communities, builds and coaches on-site teams, and improves property performance. The role supports consistent operations across the portfolio through hands-on leadership, financial review, resident relations, and input on rent growth and pricing.

What you'll do

• Oversee operations across three apartment communities
• recruit, hire, and train on-site teams
• step in to run site operations when needed
• identify opportunities to improve performance, budgets, and team operations
• review financials, budgets, and variance reports
• provide rent growth and pricing strategy input
• handle resident escalations and monitor turnover, leasing, and make-ready timelines
• travel between markets
• take on additional properties as the portfolio grows.
