What you'll do

• Assumes independent responsibility for direct, primary care of patients through pre/post phases of surgical care.
• Utilizes the nursing process during the peri-operative phase.
• Coordinates total patient care with other health care team members.
• Functions as a patient advocate.
• Serves as a liaison between physicians, staff, patients, and families.
• Assists in providing direction and supervision of nursing and support staff.
