The Psychiatrist — Addiction Medicine is an onsite, part-time role in La Plata, Maryland, scheduled for approximately 20 hours per week. Compensation is $250,000–$350,000 per year. Alpas Wellness provides residential behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment using individualized, whole-person care. The psychiatrist provides clinical leadership and direct psychiatric care, including evaluations, medication management, and consultation. The role also supervises and mentors psychiatric nurse practitioners and supports quality, compliance, and development of the organization’s psychiatric services.

What you'll do

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management
• consult on complex behavioral health and addiction cases
• support withdrawal management and psychopharmacology oversight
• document care
• participate in treatment planning and case reviews
• supervise and mentor PMHNPs
• support clinical standards, staff education, quality assurance, regulatory readiness, and performance improvement
• support on-call consultation and emergency response processes as needed.
