Small Business Development Officer

Job overview

The Small Business Development Officer role is remote within Oregon, with regular travel to branches between Cottage Grove and Portland, business-member visits, and community events. The target annual pay range is $83,424–$94,800; the full annual range is $75,840–$113,760. Peak Credit Union supports members and local communities through financial products and services. The officer develops small-business relationships, grows business membership, and builds a portfolio of loans and deposits. The role contributes to regional goals by generating leads, supporting lending activity, and coordinating community initiatives and branch partnerships.

What you'll do

• Offer small-business products and provide product feedback
• work with branch staff, lending teams, business development officers, and marketing to generate leads
• build a portfolio of small-business loans and deposits
• monitor industry and market offerings
• manage business-member relationships
• report sales activity and performance
• meet loan, deposit, and program goals
• identify commercial deposit and small-business lending prospects
• mentor and train branch employees
• plan business-development activities
• assist with loan presentations and prescreening
• coordinate referrals across departments.

Why this role

Must reside in Oregon; Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM, 40 hours per week; occasional evening and weekend hours may be required; two years of business development, sales, and/or banking experience required.
