Maintenance Technician, Second Shift

The Maintenance Technician, Second Shift role is onsite in Momence, IL, typically Monday–Friday, 3:30 p.m.–1:00 a.m., with rotating Saturday coverage. Pay is $27.50–$30.50 per hour. Silva International supplies dried vegetable, herb, and fruit ingredients to the food sector. The technician troubleshoots and repairs production machinery, buildings, and equipment, and performs preventive maintenance to reduce downtime. The role supports safe, reliable production through inspections, work orders, equipment changeovers, and coordination with production staff.

What you'll do

• Repair, troubleshoot, and maintain plant machinery, property, and equipment
• support preventive maintenance
• perform mechanical and electrical repairs
• inspect and test equipment
• complete work orders and maintenance records
• assist with changeovers and line startups
• identify parts needs
• follow safety, food safety, GMP, FDA, and OSHA requirements.
