HR Generalist

The HR Generalist position is based in downtown Minneapolis, MN, with hybrid work arrangements potentially available under organizational policy; compensation is $65,000–$72,000 per year. Hennepin Arts brings people together through performances and educational programs and works to preserve historic theatres and activate the District. Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Human Resources, the generalist supports recruiting, onboarding, HR programs, employee relations, compliance, and strategic projects. The role helps integrate diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging into employee processes and supports a collaborative and inclusive workplace.

What you'll do

• Recruit, interview, and facilitate hiring
• guide hiring managers and interview panels
• coordinate onboarding
• update job descriptions and request salary analyses as needed
• administer HR programs involving compensation, benefits, leave, employee relations, performance, training, and safety
• handle inquiries and refer sensitive matters
• coach managers
• document training and compliance
• revise HR policies
• support DEIAB, organizational design, effectiveness, and workforce planning
• assist payroll and benefits with processing and open enrollment
• submit vendor invoices.
