Caregiver / Personal Care Assistant

Job overview

The Caregiver / Personal Care Assistant works in clients’ homes in the Slidell, LA service area. Pay is $10.50 per hour. A First Name Basis provides in-home care to seniors and individuals with disabilities across Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, and South Carolina. The caregiver provides personal assistance, companionship, and household support while monitoring client well-being and documenting care. The role helps clients maintain safety and receive support with daily activities in their homes.

What you'll do

• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, and toileting
• provide companionship and emotional support
• prepare meals and perform light housekeeping
• provide medication reminders and accompany clients to appointments
• monitor and report changes in health
• maintain a safe environment
• document care
• travel reliably to assigned homes
• complete required training.
