The Phlebotomist role is onsite in Batesville, AR. Compensation is not specified. The role obtains blood specimens while minimizing patient inconvenience, verifies patient identity, labels and processes samples, and coordinates collection priorities with assigned floors and laboratory workflows. It also performs specified patient testing and quality-control tasks and maintains an organized work area.

What you'll do

• Perform venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks
• monitor assigned worklists and collect specimens promptly
• verify patient identity
• label specimens
• document collection and order information in the laboratory information system
• process specimens by centrifugation as needed
• perform iStat ACT testing and quality control as required
• maintain a clean work area
• assist with training as appropriate.
