The Machine Operator role is onsite in Wilmington, MA, on the first shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Pay is $22.17 per hour. CHEP’s share-and-reuse model helps customers transport goods efficiently, safely, and with less environmental impact. The operator prepares tools and materials, operates machinery that cuts wood products to specified lengths, and monitors production equipment. The role helps maintain safe, efficient product flow and reports equipment issues that require technical maintenance support.

What you'll do

• Set up and prepare tools and equipment for production and assembly
• ensure materials and components are available in proper quantities
• inspect tools and equipment before operation
• operate equipment that cuts wood products to specified lengths
• monitor machinery and product flow
• address minor jams and disruptions
• report larger equipment issues to technical maintenance
• communicate with teammates and supervisors
• follow safety protocols
• maintain a clean, organized work area
• report safety hazards
• lift and carry 77 pounds at least 33% of the shift and push and pull items with a maximum force of 34 lbs./feet.
