Material Planner – Supply Chain Planning (Hybrid)

The Material Planner – Supply Chain Planning (Hybrid) role is based at Welch’s headquarters in Waltham, MA, with three office days per week and remote work on Thursdays and Fridays. Compensation is $80,000–$90,000 per year. Welch’s is working toward becoming a global leader in convenient fruit-based food and beverages; this role supports its Supply Chain Planning team and manufacturing network. The planner develops time-phased material plans, monitors inventory and supplier performance, and identifies shortages, excess, and other risks. By coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional teams, the role helps ensure ingredients and packaging are available for production while limiting waste and inventory exposure.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain material supply plans for assigned ingredients, packaging, and other materials
• ensure materials support production requirements
• monitor inventory and prevent shortages, disruptions, excess, and expiration
• analyze slow-moving, aging, and obsolete inventory
• coordinate with suppliers and third-party logistics providers
• communicate supply risks
• partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and Planning to resolve constraints
• support new product introductions and packaging transitions
• analyze supply, demand, inventory, and supplier data
• prepare insights for monthly planning and inventory reviews
• improve planning processes and reporting.
