Educator — Toddler Classroom

The Educator works onsite in Pittsburgh, PA, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, for $16–$18 per hour. Shady Lane School provides early childhood education and social-emotional learning for children and families. The educator creates a safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate classroom for children aged 12 to 24 months. The role supports children’s developmental milestones through curriculum, child-centered activities, family relationships, and collaboration with educators and administrators.

What you'll do

• Create developmentally appropriate learning activities using Frog Street Toddler
• support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and motor development and independence
• collaborate with educators and administrators on teaching strategies
• build relationships with children and families
• follow DHS, Keystone STARS, and NAEYC guidelines.

Why this role

Child Development Associate credential required; associate degree in early childhood or elementary education or a related field preferred. Physical, TB test, and Act 33, Act 34, and FBI clearances required before the first day.
