The Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Registered Nurse role is onsite in Houston, TX, with day shifts from 6:30 AM–6:30 PM and night shifts from 11:00 PM–11:00 AM. Compensation is $48–$72 per hour. The role supports a growing pediatric cardiovascular intensive care program caring for critically ill children with congenital heart disease and complex post-operative needs. The nurse provides direct critical care, develops and documents family-centered care plans, monitors clinical changes, and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team. The role also supports patient and family education, quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and a safe care environment.

What you'll do

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients with congenital heart disease or complex post-operative needs
• assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individualized family-centered care
• monitor and respond to clinical changes
• collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary team
• provide patient and family education and support
• participate in unit initiatives, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice
• maintain a safe environment.

Why this role

Current RN license and at least one year of recent pediatric ICU experience required; acute pediatric cardiovascular and post-operative experience required; associate degree in nursing required, BSN preferred; BLS/BCLS within 30 days; ACLS and PALS within six months; CCRN preferred. Up to $30,000 sign-on bonus and up to $10,000 relocation assistance.
