What you'll do

• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC and other machine tools
• machine parts to specifications using lathes, mills, grinders, and other equipment
• select tools, materials, fixtures, and settings
• program and set up machines for first-article parts
• monitor production runs
• inspect parts with precision measuring equipment
• troubleshoot machining issues
• maintain production standards and perform basic preventive maintenance.
