What you'll do

• Evaluate, direct, and provide speech/language pathology services
• participate in developing and reviewing plans of treatment and care
• assess and treat speech, voice, language, hearing, and swallowing disorders
• administer and interpret diagnostic tests and therapeutic treatments, including audiologic screening
• report changes and treatment responses
• instruct patients in alternative communication systems when appropriate
• counsel patients, families, and healthcare staff
• document evaluations, visits, care plans, coordination, and progress
• and participate in discharge planning.
