Plumbing Manager

The Plumbing Manager is an onsite role in Mount Airy, NC. Compensation is $80,000–$115,000 per year, plus bonuses. The manager will launch and grow a new plumbing division at Jay’s Heating, Air & Plumbing, a family-owned home-services company serving the Mount Airy community. The manager leads residential plumbing technicians and oversees the division’s performance, service quality, and daily operations. The role builds team capability, manages resources and schedules, and ensures repairs and installations meet safety and code requirements.

What you'll do

• Launch and grow the plumbing division
• lead and mentor residential service technicians
• conduct weekly training and ride-alongs
• manage revenue goals, budgets, KPIs, and performance plans
• coordinate vendor training
• work with dispatch and leadership
• resolve customer issues
• manage tools, inventory, and vehicles
• ensure repairs and installations meet safety and code requirements
• oversee permits, inspections, and compliance
• optimize dispatch schedules.

Why this role

Limited on-call schedule for true emergencies involving existing customers; NC plumbing license preferred or ability to obtain; 5–10 years of plumbing experience and at least three years of leadership experience sought.
