Behavioral Health Technician

Job overview

The Behavioral Health Technician role is onsite in Ellenboro, NC, with a schedule of 7.5 days on followed by 6.5 days off; staff remain onsite during scheduled shifts. Compensation is $37,544–$39,520 per year. Foothills at Red Oak Recovery provides a program to help adult men improve their lives through substance-use recovery and wilderness and experiential therapy. The technician supports clients’ recovery by helping deliver therapeutic programming, teaching coping and emotional-regulation skills, and maintaining physical and emotional safety. The role works as part of an integrative treatment team and includes leading clients on overnight adventure activities such as hiking and canoeing.

What you'll do

• Work with an integrative treatment team to implement compassionate clinical care
• facilitate therapeutic interventions, process groups, mindfulness sessions, and educational groups
• help clients navigate scheduled education, sports, meditation, yoga, and adventure activities
• lead overnight hiking and canoeing activities
• provide physical and emotional safety
• model healthy behavior and encourage healthy decisions.
