Assistant Controller

The Assistant Controller role is onsite in Omaha, NE. The base salary range is $100,000–$120,000 per year. The position is with a growing, employee-owned organization and offers mentorship from an experienced Controller. The role oversees core accounting operations and financial reporting while supporting close, budgeting, payroll, compliance, and process improvements. It is designed to take on increasing management responsibilities and develop toward a future Controller role.

What you'll do

• Oversee general ledger accounting, financial statements, and month- and year-end close
• analyze statements and reconcile accounts
• review WIP schedules, job costing, and project reporting
• oversee AP, AR, billing, and cash management
• support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and divisional reporting
• review multi-state payroll and assist with processing
• support tax and regulatory reporting
• develop reports and process improvements
• support ESOP administration and valuation
• partner with the Controller and accounting leadership.
