The Physician - Outpatient Family Practice role is onsite at the Chico East Avenue clinic in Chico, CA. Pay is $121–$166 per hour. The physician supports Northern Valley Indian Health's primary care services for patients of all ages. The role provides direct medical care, evaluates test results and complex health concerns, prescribes treatment or refers patients as appropriate, and contributes to preventive health education and clinic quality efforts. It exists to support ongoing, comprehensive primary care for the clinic's patients.

What you'll do

• Provide direct medical services to program patients
• maintain accurate patient records and arrange follow-up
• evaluate laboratory studies, X-rays, and other tests and prescribe treatment as needed
• assess complex problems and refer to specialists when appropriate
• support preventive health education
• participate in initial obstetrical services and refer for obstetrical care and delivery
• contribute to protocols, quality assurance, and peer review. Requires a California physician license, current DEA registration and CPR, and two years of direct primary care experience.
