Maintenance Apprentice

The Maintenance Apprentice role is onsite in Waterloo, IA, with a Monday–Friday first-shift schedule from 6:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Compensation is $19 per hour. A-Line offers hands-on training from experienced mechanics. The apprentice supports maintenance work while developing mechanical skills, assisting with inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, and industrial equipment. The role also helps maintain buildings and grounds and keeps parts and supplies available for ongoing work.

What you'll do

• Assist with DOT inspections and repairs on semi trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
• learn to inspect industrial equipment, identify issues, and assist with troubleshooting and repairs
• support building and grounds maintenance as needed
• pick up parts and supplies
• learn safe use of tools and equipment.
