The dispatcher organizes activities to ensure safe, cost-effective, and on-time operating performance while maintaining daily communication with drivers and clients.

What you'll do

• Take client calls and communicate issues with drivers and Dispatch Supervisors or Dispatch Managers.
• Monitor radio, telephones, and on-road provision of service for quality.
• Influence positive employee morale and quality customer service.
• Monitor and complete driver sign-in and sign-out daily.
• Assign trips to drivers to assure adequate disbursement of trips between all assigned routes.
• Monitor daily system performance.
• Participate in analysis and review of operating performance.
• Note closed and/or late starting of routes and communicate same to Dispatch Supervisors and/or Dispatch Managers.
