What you'll do

• Monitor maternal vital signs and fetal heart rate patterns
• administer medications per physician orders
• assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• provide immediate newborn assessment and care
• educate patients and families about labor progress, pain management, and postpartum recovery
• recognize and respond to obstetric emergencies such as hemorrhage or fetal distress.

Why this role

Requires an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing, a current RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. One to two years of labor and delivery or obstetric nursing experience is preferred; Electronic Fetal Monitoring and Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics certifications are preferred.
