After-School Group Leader — PS 16

Job overview

The After-School Group Leader works onsite in Corona, NY, for $17.50–$19.50 per hour, with a Monday–Friday schedule typically around 2:00–6:00 PM and up to 19 hours per week; schedules may vary and may include occasional evenings, weekends, or full-day shifts. The role supports Commonpoint’s Youth Education Services Department, which provides safe, enriching afterschool programs for children and families. The Group Leader supervises students in kindergarten through eighth grade, supports homework and positive study habits, and facilitates educational, recreational, and enrichment activities. The role also promotes social-emotional learning and inclusion, supports safe transitions, maintains attendance and program documentation, and communicates participant concerns to program leadership.
