The group leader helps provide a safe, supportive environment during before- and after-school hours. The role supports children through planned and child-directed activities, positive behavior guidance, daily communication with families, and coordination with program staff.

What you'll do

• Use the provided curriculum book to plan large- and small-group activities, child-directed activities, and gross motor games
• help maintain a safe environment
• encourage positive behavior
• greet parents and children
• help train new staff as needed
• attend monthly staff meetings
• follow daily staff assignments
• communicate with the office
• substitute at another location if needed.
