Athletic Trainer

The Athletic Trainer role is onsite in Livonia, MI. Compensation is not specified. The position supports the health care of Madonna University intercollegiate student athletes in coordination with athletic training staff, team physicians, and coaches. The trainer evaluates and treats injuries, provides emergency care and first aid, and develops and monitors rehabilitation plans that support safe return to activity. The role also maintains athlete medical records, supports injury prevention, and helps ensure training-room and event coverage.

What you'll do

• Manage training-room operations and equipment
• maintain student-athlete medical records and assist with insurance claims processing
• implement injury-prevention programs
• evaluate injuries using standardized protocols
• provide emergency care and first aid
• refer injuries to physicians or specialists as appropriate
• design and supervise rehabilitation programs and document progress
• provide practice and home-game coverage for assigned sports, which may include weekends
• maintain NATA certification.
