Relief Residential Assistant — Maui

The Relief Residential Assistant role is onsite in Wailuku, HI, serving residents on Maui. Compensation is $15 per hour. Mental Health Kokua supports people with mental health challenges as they build life skills and move toward greater independence. In this as-needed role, the assistant covers shifts and provides direct support while maintaining a safe, respectful residential environment. The work helps residents pursue recovery goals through daily living skills, wellness monitoring, medication self-administration support, and coordination with supervisors and case managers.

What you'll do

• Cover shifts as needed
• mentor residents and support daily living skills, communication, and recovery goals
• assist with cooking, budgeting, personal care, and household responsibilities
• maintain safety, respond to emergencies, and document incidents
• monitor wellness and behavior
• oversee self-administration of medications as appropriate
• assist with shopping, cleaning, and maintenance coordination
• participate in recreational, vocational, and educational outings
• complete progress notes and service plans
• collaborate with supervisors and case managers. CPR, First Aid, and TB clearance are required upon hire or annually.
