Sterile Processing Adjunct Instructor

The Sterile Processing Adjunct Instructor position is in person at the Evergreen Park and LaSalle campuses in Illinois; compensation is $25–$28 per hour. The instructor supports Midwestern Career College’s Sterile Processing program. The role delivers classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction, helps students develop sterile-processing knowledge and professional skills, and supports their academic progress and readiness for healthcare careers.

What you'll do

• Prepare and teach approved curriculum
• review syllabus requirements
• ensure students follow classroom, laboratory, infection-prevention, and safety policies
• lead lectures, demonstrations, competencies, and hands-on lab instruction
• monitor and record attendance, grades, and student interactions
• coordinate with program leadership on student concerns
• advise students and initiate support as appropriate
• prepare and maintain lab equipment, instruments, supplies, and training materials
• attend required training and professional development
• provide coverage at either campus as needed.

Why this role

Current sterile-processing certification through CBSPD or HSPA is required. An associate degree in Health Sciences or equivalent is preferred. Scheduled coverage includes Wednesday and Thursday evenings at Evergreen Park and Wednesday and Friday daytime labs at LaSalle; campus coverage may vary with program needs.
