The Food Service Worker role is onsite at KIPP Houston High School in Houston, TX. The schedule varies by day, with shifts of 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. or 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Pay is $17 per hour. Chartwells K12 provides school dining programs intended to serve students food they enjoy. The worker prepares, presents, and serves food while maintaining food safety, sanitation, and service standards. The role supports the school dining operation by preparing ingredients, keeping work areas supplied and clean, and assisting customers.

What you'll do

• Wash, peel, cut, and prepare produce
• weigh and measure ingredients
• transport food safely
• store food using dating and rotation procedures
• clean work areas and equipment
• distribute supplies and utensils
• follow recipes and portion standards
• serve customers
• relay concerns to supervisors
• follow inventory, cash-control, sanitation, and safety procedures.
