What you'll do
- Complete animal intakes
- assist the veterinarian with surgery, surgery preparation, vaccinations, and wellness exams
- prepare animals for exams and spay/neuter surgery
- draw blood and perform routine in-house lab work
- plan medical care and dispense medications and vaccinations
- maintain surgery schedules, equipment, and accurate medical records
- monitor inventory and donations
- educate fosters and adopters
- provide customer service
- train employees where medical knowledge is deficient.
