Tree Crew Leader / Tree Climber

Job overview

The Tree Crew Leader / Tree Climber role is onsite in Exeter, RI, with pay of $30–$35 per hour depending on experience, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus. SavATree’s tree care team works to preserve trees and protect natural landscapes. The role performs tree care and climbing work while contributing leadership and safety guidance to the crew. It supports the health and structure of trees through pruning, removals, and cabling, while maintaining safe work practices and strong communication with clients and team members.

What you'll do

• Perform pruning, removals, and cabling
• climb using ropes, saddles, and ladders
• operate chainsaws and aerial lifts
• apply ANSI A300 pruning standards and ANSI Z safety practices
• inspect for hazards
• assist with safe tree takedowns and aerial rescues if necessary
• communicate with team members and clients
• contribute to a safety-focused team culture.
