EDM Machinist — Mold Repair

The EDM Machinist — Mold Repair role is onsite in Wheeling, Illinois. Compensation is $30–$40 per hour. Dynomax designs and manufactures high-precision machined components, injection molding and tooling, sub-assemblies, automated work cells, specialty machines, and machine tool spindles. The machinist repairs high-precision injection mold tools by interpreting specifications, setting up and operating machine tools, and completing bench and assembly work. Precision measurement and close adherence to tolerances support the quality and fit of finished mold components.

What you'll do

• Calculate dimensions and tolerances from specifications
• study blueprints and use GD&T to plan machining sequences
• set up and operate wire and sinker EDM, milling equipment, and surface grinders
• inspect dimensions and finishes with precision measuring instruments
• perform filing, grinding, shimming, fitting, alignment, calibration, adjustment, assembly, and finishing.
