Personal Care Assistant

Job overview

The Personal Care Assistant role is onsite in Schenectady, NY, with compensation of $14–$16 per hour. This role provides practical personal care and companionship while helping clients follow their plans of care. The assistant supports daily activities, observes and reports changes, and documents services accurately.

What you'll do

• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
• provide medication reminders
• prepare meals
• perform light housekeeping
• assist with shopping, errands, mobility, and transfers when required
• provide companionship and emotional support
• follow care plans and task sheets
• observe and report changes
• document services
• respond responsibly during emergencies
• protect client privacy and dignity.
