The Props Artisan II role is an onsite, full-time position in Ashland, OR. Pay is $27.75 per hour. The role supports props work for Oregon Shakespeare Festival productions, a nonprofit theatre organization presenting plays and musicals. The role exists to build, repair, modify, transport, and maintain props for rehearsals and performances. It contributes to production execution by interpreting design materials, preparing props for use, and coordinating with the Properties Manager and other departments.

What you'll do

• Build, repair, and maintain rehearsal and show props
• fabricate furniture, hand, paper, and consumable props
• work with set decorations and soft goods
• deliver and transfer props
• dress scenery during load-ins and changeovers
• interpret drawings and research
• maintain stock inventory
• strike, restore, package, label, and archive props
• maintain shop spaces, tools, and equipment
• mentor colleagues as requested.
