Senior Food Safety Manager

The Senior Food Safety Manager role is onsite in Akron, OH, with an annual salary range of $90,000–$110,000. The position leads food safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and quality systems across multiple food manufacturing facilities. The role exists to protect product safety and maintain regulatory and certification compliance while improving manufacturing operations. It leads programs, investigations, audits, and quality teams across facilities and works with production and other functions to embed food safety practices.

What you'll do

• Lead food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance programs across facilities
• develop and improve food safety and quality management systems and procedures
• oversee HACCP programs and preventive controls
• ensure FDA, USDA/FSIS, FSMA, and cGMP compliance
• direct SQF, BRCGS, and other GFSI certification programs and audits
• lead investigations, CAPA, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
• oversee sanitation verification, allergen management, environmental monitoring, supplier quality, traceability, and recall preparedness
• monitor quality KPIs and lead FSQA personnel.
