The Assistant Teacher – Special Education role is onsite in Columbus, OH, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM during the school year. Pay is $19–$23.75 per hour based on experience. Hattie Larlham is a nonprofit disability service organization supporting children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. The assistant teacher helps maintain a safe, structured, engaging classroom and supports students’ individualized education and family service plans. The role assists the Intervention Specialist with activities that advance student learning and development.

Why this role

An associate degree in Early Childhood or a CDA is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. CPR and First Aid certification are required within the first 30 days, and medication administration certification is required or must be obtained within 60 days. Travel within Ohio is required; overnight travel may be required.
