Chief Systems Engineer, Space Systems

The Chief Systems Engineer role is onsite in Saratoga, CA, with a target base salary of $190,000–$225,000 per year. E-Space is developing a low Earth orbit satellite system for global connectivity and Internet of Things services. This role provides technical accountability for spacecraft architecture, electrical systems, verification and validation, integration and test, configuration management, and the program digital thread. It supports coordinated engineering decisions and traceable requirements-to-operations evidence across the space systems organization.

What you'll do

• Own spacecraft system architecture, requirements decomposition, subsystem budgets, interface control documents, and trade-space management.
• Develop verification and validation plans, track technical performance measures, manage compliance matrices, and plan environmental testing.
• Lead spacecraft electrical architecture, integration and test planning, configuration baselines, and digital-thread/MBSE traceability.
