Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) — Home Health

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role is onsite, providing services in patients’ homes in New York City, NY. Compensation is $70–$80 per hour. Excellent Home Care provides home health services to adult and pediatric populations in their homes and communities. The SLP evaluates speech and language rehabilitation needs, develops and delivers ordered services, and works with patients, families, and the health team on treatment and maintenance goals. The role supports recovery, communication, swallowing needs, and management of residual disability through care planning, treatment, instruction, and documentation.

What you'll do

• Evaluate patients’ speech and language rehabilitation needs
• perform clinical tests and develop plans of care
• provide ordered rehabilitative services
• instruct patients, families, and appropriate personnel in assistive modalities and procedures
• document visits, treatment, progress, and discharge summaries
• coordinate with nurses and the health team about findings, goals, progress, and care-plan changes
• re-evaluate patients as needed.

Why this role

Requires a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, at least one year of experience in a healthcare setting, New York State licensure, and current American Speech and Hearing Association certification of clinical completion in Speech. Home care experience is desirable.
