Job overview

The Medical Assistant — Women’s Health role is onsite in Reston, VA, with a full-time Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including a one-hour lunch break. Pay is $22–$26 per hour. The assistant supports a women’s health practice. The role helps providers deliver patient-centered care by assisting with examinations and procedures, maintaining accurate records, and supporting patient flow and front-office operations. It also contributes to coordinated care through patient instructions, collaboration with clinical staff, and adherence to privacy and safety standards.

What you'll do

• Take vital signs
• prepare patients for examinations
• assist with procedures, specimen collection, and injections
• maintain electronic health records
• schedule appointments, answer phones, and verify insurance
• manage patient rooming and wait-time communication
• provide instructions as directed
• maintain exam rooms and supplies
• follow HIPAA, infection-control, and safety standards.

Why this role
