What you'll do

• Identify and resolve clinical problems
• apply nursing principles to care for patients with complex psychiatric conditions, including substance abuse, milieu therapy, group dynamics, psychotropic medications, and crisis intervention
• participate in discharge planning
• intervene in situations involving suicidal, homicidal, or elopement behavior
• obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs and take indicated actions
• escort or participate therapeutically in activities outside the clinic as required
• liaise with military commands about outpatient needs and discharge plans within policy and HIPAA guidelines.
