Commercial Roofing Superintendent

The Commercial Roofing Superintendent role is onsite in Austin, TX; compensation is not specified. The superintendent represents PAX Services Group in the field and coordinates commercial roofing operations with crews, project managers, clients, and contractors. The role exists to lead field execution so roofing projects meet schedule, budget, safety, and quality expectations. It coordinates people, materials, and project information while addressing site issues and maintaining communication with customers and project partners.

What you'll do

• Manage crew foremen and commercial roofing field operations
• oversee schedule, labor and material budgets, and site safety
• coordinate material loading and deliveries with the Project Manager
• provide job information to foremen before work begins
• manage scheduling, inventory, and labor budgets
• read blueprints and construction specifications and perform take-offs as needed
• address unforeseen job-site issues
• communicate with building owners, engineers, and general contractors
• submit daily field reports and as-built drawings
• manage RFIs and change orders
• maintain two-week look-ahead schedules
• inspect work for quality
• make tear-off decisions based on weather
• lead and document safety meetings.

Why this role

Requires five years as a superintendent with a commercial roofing company. Knowledge of single-ply, asphalt, cold-applied, standing-seam, hot-applied, and metal roofing is preferred. OSHA 30, EM 385 1-1, and CQM certifications are strongly preferred; Spanish speaking is preferred.
