What you'll do

• Code office visits and surgical or procedural reports
• review medical records and assign primary and secondary diagnoses using applicable coding conventions
• verify and submit electronic and paper claims
• enter copayment information in the electronic medical record
• reconcile charges against schedules
• investigate and rebill rejected claims
• maintain confidentiality and accuracy
• communicate documentation needs and coding feedback to providers
• keep staff informed of regulatory updates.
